MY CAREER MY WAY!!
BY MIT SANGHVI
Think of Chhaiwala!! You see our great leader today sitting in Delhi. Simple Chhaiwala changed the entire theories of Indian politics!!!! How he could manage to do so. Any guesses. Simple he believed in himself, he believed in his integrity, he believed in saying NO to his big bosses when it was required or possibly nurtured his way to long journey but with vision to seat in that chair where only one family had thought that as their family right.
People always say boss is always right!!!! Boss is right till the time you allow him to be bossy. Moment you find “Boss” seating in that chair is doing more bad to board or organization, garner that talent or vision to replace him from his seat not immediately but by sharpening your skills & networks.
Chhaiwala is classic example for every Indian to understand that nothing is impossible. There was one more guy with Topi, which I would like to say “Topiwala”, also carried that vision to seat on that chair, climbed faster but couldn’t stay there as climbed that chair with limited vision.
Our favorite Chhaiwala & Topiwala both are classic example of right & fast career moves, but only one could sustain & shall sustain long, is the person with long vision.
1. Tip of the day: Choose your career, right career with long term vision, or you could be one of those Topiwala’s who will climb up would fall faster than the time you take to climb that ladder.
Both had similar attributes. Both took along their leaders & well wishers all along their way journey to TOP. Topiwala in between left hands of his senior leader & tried climbing upwards without creating backup, whereas Chhaiwala against the wishes of senior’s also climbed upwards because he had second plan of action ready. He had secured his place. In case he would have failed he had an opportunity to climb again.
2. Second tip of the day: Always have back up plans for your career.
Topiwala came to power went on trying to make everyone happy. Failed miserably. Always remember it is not necessary to please all the people all the time. It is better to unplease people 99 times & please them 1 time when it is required & take right decisions. Moment Chhaiwala came to power started working on difficult things viz., increasing Petrol prices, Increasing Gas prices, Increasing Railway fares & made them happy by increasing their Tax limits.
3. Third tip of the day: Everyday trying to reach your goals & targets is not important to people who checks your reports every day. On final day if you mess up your career can go for toast.
great man.. really super liked it.
